I hope this counts as a video.....?? I had a nosy at a few others before embarking on this task, and was petrified at the thought of speaking into the camera, and also I have never made a video of anything before in my life!!
So, that said, here is my first attempt at making a clip!! Video Clip
Please be kind guys, but would love any help or constructive criticism you want to throw my way?! Also, I struggled to get music behind it! I did it on windows movie maker, and when I clicked add music, it brought up my itunes but wouldnt let me add! does anyone know of any other way to add music to it?
Thanks in advance :-)
This is really simple and sweet! It made me smile the way you'd matched your photos (and facial expressions) to the words you chose. I think I'm trying to make my video too complicated - also using Movie Maker but struggling! I quite like it without a voiceover as the captions speak for themselves, and your picture is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI had a go at adding music - it opened a file and I was able to select from the iTunes Music folder as opposed to directly from itunes. Hope that helps?
I agree with the above. Using Movie Maker add some music. All you need to do is open up the programme add the photo's in the order you want them, then click on Caption and add what you want to say, then after this is completed click on add music and it will direct you to a folder or the desktop where you have music. As long as it's on I-tunes or it's your own recorded music you can add it.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps you both!

ReplyDeleteI think this video is great, I could see you enjoyed creating it and playing with the programme. It is totally up to you if you wish to have music. I just had a thought that a deaf person wouldn't be able to hear it I suppose..(I digress!). You couldn't have been clearer about your feelings on the course. I included in my video my reasons for doing this course and what I hope to achieve after. I had such fun making it. I'm not good infront of the camera. Best wishes. Corinda
Hi Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI liked your video; it got across what you wanted to say and how you felt, and I loved how some of the photos were acting as a metaphor for the caption (dive right in!).
I definitely feel it would benefit massively from some music. With regards to physically doing this on Movie Maker, I think maybe I have an older version. On mine, I simply click "import media" and then select the music file I want to import. Then you just add it to the timeline like any other item.
I hope that's helped, but like I say I get the impression that you may have a newer version of the software.
Well done!
Hi Michelle!
ReplyDeleteYou're video was great! I'm struggling with the thought of having to do it myself but yours gave me a lot of good ideas so thank you! I loved how your photo's matched the emotion - so simple, yet effective! I agree with the above - music would help but there is something calming about not having music and is such a hard choice to find the right song. Good job!

Hi everyone!! The greatest of thanks for all your comments!
ReplyDeleteWhen I click on add music, it does come up with my itunes folder but when i come to choose a song, it doesn't let me add it, no idea if that's a problem with my itunes or my movie maker, looking at taking my laptop to a friend to see if they can advise me on it!
I'm glad that the whole 'photo matching caption' came across. Like others, I wasn't too comfortable just yet getting in front of the camera, so whilst I was working it all out, I thought I'd stick to something simple that I can advance on throughout the course.
Thanks for the comments :-)
