Apologies....!

Hi everyone!!
As much as I have been keeping on top of what everyone has been writing on their blogs thanks to GoogleReader, I can only apologize for my lack of commenting! I cant really make excuses as I'm sure the majority of students here have full time jobs, I'm just finding it hard to juggle my full time job, with my voluntary teaching and getting stuck into this!!!

Ive given myself a full day to today and Monday to catch up on all work as well as commenting and getting in touch with you all! So, apologies if you all end up with millions of comments over different blogs! I'm experimenting with different ways to keep on top of things.

Are people finding it easier doing smaller bits daily (or as often as possible?)  for example, commenting on colleagues blogs? Or are some people doing it this way of leaving yourselves full days to focus on it all?

I am hoping that it will be something I settle into, and get into a routine of doing!

  1. Hi Michelle,

I've been in a similar situation in the last week! I'm finding that I get most of my blogging done if I do it in big chunks. For me personally, leaving a full day is probably a little excessive. I've been doing about 2 hours a day. However, this last week has been quite unproductive and I may too have to find an entire day to get myself up to date!

It's hard to find the time sometimes, but I'm sure we'll manage!

  2. I know what you mean, it's not easy trying to get it all done - sometimes I find that I've set aside time and I've just spent the whole session reading/commenting on other people's blogs instead of doing what I was intending! Usually I end up doing late night comments/small tasks and then on days like today I will set a large chunk of time to get through loads of work! I'm feeling the pressure though as every time you come back to Google Reader there's another load of blog posts, as well as trying to keep up with comments you've already made!

We all understand though, that everyone will have different times when they can be online and at least this is set up so that you can come back and carry on a conversation when it suits you best. Like Liam says, I think we'll settle into it soon - I think the easiest thing is trying not to let too much pile up in one go (though this is often my way of working)
